If you switch to Fibercity's fiber broadband services, your copper line will no longer be needed for your broadband connection, and it will be disconnected.
However, if you have other services that use your copper line, such as a landline phone or monitored alarm system, you may be able to keep it for these services. This is known as a “landline over fiber” service, which allows you to keep your existing phone number and use your phone as normal. This service is offered by most broadband providers in New Zealand, including Fibercity.
If you have any concerns about losing your copper line or the impact it may have on your other services, please contact Fibercity's customer support team, who will be able to advise you on the best options for your individual circumstances.
